Lake Le-Aqua-Na State Recreation Area also offers a small beach that is particularly suited for children. During winter, you can ice-fish, sled, and cross-country ski! The 8.5 miles of trails can also be used year-round for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing!
Lake Le-Aqua-Na State Recreation Area can accommodate RV, tent, equestrian, and youth campers. Campsites with water and electric hookups are located throughout the campground. According to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the campsites at Lake Le-Aqua-Na State Recreation Area are not very secluded but still provide enough shade to help keep you comfortable. You should note that the RV campground is open throughout the entire year but tent camping is not because the shower building is only operational from May to the end of October.
